TAGGED! / ANNA KOJOUHAROVA-MARIANSKA

Picture: Ani Kojouharova at the Bliasak Awards in December 2006.

In the previous Village Stevan Vranes from Adria Media Serbia tagged Anna Kojouharova-Marianska. Anna works for Sanoma Bliasak Bulgaria, where she is Publisher of Bliasak, Story, Maximum and Moeto Dete.

Anna answers the ten infamous questions from Village, and starts by answering the burning question Stevan Vranes has asked her.

Stevan: Since you always have amazing stories from your every day work, please tell us the one story that has had the biggest emotional influence on you. Good or bad, it doesn’t matter.

First I would like to thank Stevan for giving my name for this project. Stevan, I admire your work, you are a great person, friend and colleague - somebody I would love to work with. I have to admit that I have learned a lot from you. For me, you are one of the most devoted people in Sanoma Magazines! People like you are the future of our company.

Then, I can’t really choose one specific story. My everyday life is full with interesting meetings and that's why I enjoy working at Sanoma Bliasak Bulgaria so much. Isn’t this the best formula (my job is such fun! I hope the readers of the magazines I am working on can feel it): if I can entertain myself with my daily work, the product of this work will be entertaining for the consumers!

1. What kind of magazine is Anna Kojouharova-Marianska?

I hope an interesting one! A magazine with a lot of glitter, intriguing backstage stories, some tears and a lot of dreams.

2. What media would you bring to a desert island?

Oh, internet, of course! There are sooooo many things to do online. You can even meet other stranded survivors… or, if you feel lonely, you can read your favourite magazine.

3. Which brand is most appealing to you?

Story! Although I started at Bliasak (the most popular celebrity weekly in Bulgaria), today Story is the magazine that appeals to me. I worked hard on the launch of Story in Bulgaria and I am proud to be part of the team of this so successful magazine in our market. Story opened up a new page in the magazine history of Bulgaria.

4. Describe Sanoma Bliasak Bulgaria in one sentence

Sanoma Bliasak Bulgaria: the company that makes me feel proud to work for!

5. What does a Publisher like you do all day?

Oh, this is a hard question to answer shortly. For me the most important thing is to be very well informed, to update my information in various fields every day, to have very good connections with people who are or might be useful and important for the business, and to take all chances of finding inspiration. For me knowledge, creativity and good connections are the A, B, C for a successful magazine publisher.

6. What kind of work would you be doing if you didn't have your current job?

Wedding planner or wedding agent! I can guarantee you will have the most romantic, beautiful and craziest wedding in the world. I will make your dreams come true. Just open a magazine, pick a dream… and call me!

7. Who would you like to sit next to in a plane and to what destination?

Michael Schumacher!!! I must explain myself. First of all, I am a devoted Ferrari fan and it is my dream to meet Michael. Second, I am afraid of flying. If something happens, I would like to have someone with strong self confidence (not to forget that he is also an airplane pilot...) next to me. I would like to fly to... Japan.

8. What success are you most proud of?

I managed somehow to learn to ride a motorbike. A big one!

9. Describe your biggest failure?

Unfortunately I still didn’t manage to become a mother. I hope this happiness will come to our home in the nearest future. This is the only thing that me and my husband miss so we can call ourselves a happy family!

10. What is the one thing that everybody should know about you but nobody does?

When I was four, I took part in one of the most popular Bulgarian movies. That was my first role.

For Village 12 Anna Kojouharova-Marianska tags Lucian Ionita from Sanoma Hearst Romania. She asks him:

"Lucian, I would like to know, where do you find inspiration?"
