ilse media acquires website KIESKEURIG.nl

Amsterdam, 6 July 2006 - ilse media, part of the magazine division of the SanomaWSOY Group and owner of some of the most popular websites in the Netherlands like NU.nl and Startpagina.nl, has acquired KIESKEURIG.nl.

In the Netherlands KIESKEURIG.nl is a leading price comparison site combining product and shopping guides with over 300,000 user reviews.

Mr Molenaar, CEO of ilse media: “The acquisition of KIESKEURIG.nl fits perfectly with ilse media’s strategy, which is to play a principle role in guiding consumers to the most relevant websites, as we do with Startpagina.nl. From now on we will also guide them to the most relevant and best reviewed products, at the right price via KIESKEURIG.nl.”

What sets KIESKEURIG.nl apart from its competition is the strong involvement of visitors to the website. KIESKEURIG.nl offers a platform for overviews of products and for consumers’ views and experiences regarding certain products.

KIESKEURIG.nl was established seven years ago to guide consumers to the best products and the most economical places to buy them. Today the company employs some 25 people under sound and profitable management. KIESKEURIG.nl attracts 120,000 unique visitors on a daily basis. In 2005, the net sales totalled € 2,253,000. The founders, Ms Sellis and Mr Hoetink, will stay on at KIESKEURIG.nl and report to Mr Wiggers, who is currently responsible for Startpagina.nl and NU.nl.
