Sanoma Digital invests in Yunoo

Amsterdam, 21 January 2010 - Sanoma Digital is investing in Yunoo, the smart household finance tool online. At www.yunoo.nl users can obtain insight into their personal finance situation. Yunoo automatically categorises income and expenses to clarify someone's spending behaviour. Additionally, Yunoo provides savings tips about monthly expenses like phone bills, energy prices or insurance costs. Users give each other smart savings tips within the Yunoo community.

Participating in Yunoo fits Sanoma's strategy to expand its portfolio with services that give consumers more insight and help them make choices. Sanoma Digital has several price and product comparison sites in its portfolio already, including Kieskeurig.nl, Autoweek.nl, Autotrader.nl and Kluswebsite.nl. Last week Sanoma Digital announced the acquisition of Energieprijzen.nl, a website where consumers are supported in comparing products and prices of several energy suppliers.

Yunoo started in 2007 and has ten employees. Since its launch in March 2009 the website grew into the leading personal finance site in the Netherlands. Sanoma Digital's investment will be used to further develop the site, gain more notority and expand to other European countries in due time.

Safeguarding safety and security is the number one concern for Yunoo. Secured data centres, a secure connection with a security certificate, external audits and a daily scan ensure that Yunoo is 100% safe.
