Sanoma Budapest to publish Marie Claire magazine

Hungary, 24 November 2006 - Sanoma Budapest and French Groupe Marie Claire are pleased to announce that they reached an agreement for the publication of Marie Claire magazine in Hungary.


Sanoma Budapest plans to publish the first issue of Marie Claire in the first semester of 2007. Editor-in-Chief of the new monthly magazine will be Ms. Ildikó Békési, an expert with several years of experience in editing women’s magazines.Marie Claire is planned to be a strong pillar of Sanoma Budapest’s women glossy portfolio, along with Cosmopolitan, present on the Hungarian market for almost 10 years.


Thought-provoking and inspiring, yet relevant and entertaining, Marie Claire is the magazine that celebrates modern women who are stylish, independent and open-minded. Marie Claire features stories that appeal to women who are socially aware, yet unabashedly fashion-and-beauty-conscious. Marie Claire is for the woman of substance with an eye for style-someone who is fascinated by what the world has to offer, and what she can offer in return.


This edition will be the 28th edition of Marie Claire. Each month, the international editions of Marie Claire are reaching more than 15 million women all over the world. The publication of Marie Claire in Hungary will reinforce the partnership between Groupe Marie Claire and Sanoma Magazines, which already publishes Marie Claire in the Netherlands and Marie Claire 2 Accessories in Belgium.
