Publishing Director is leaving Sanoma Magazines Belgium

Brussels, 26 July 2010 - Sandra De Preter, Publishing Director at Sanoma Magazines Belgium for 12 years, has chosen a new challenge in becoming CEO of the public broadcasting company VRT in Flanders. This news was announced at a press conference of the cabinet of the Flemish Media Minister Ingrid Lieten in the afternoon of 23 July.

Sanoma Magazines Belgium is proud that one of their top managers was selected to lead the Vlaamse Radio en Televisie (VRT). At Sanoma Magazines Belgium, Sandra De Preter has been part of the Management team for almost eight years. In 2006, before the appointment of current CEO Aimé Van Hecke, De Preter has been ad interim CEO for almost one year.

De Preter will start at the VRT on 15 September. More information about the organisational impact of her departure on Sanoma Magazines Belgium will be announced later. CEO Aimé Van Hecke comments that the company first wants to thank De Preter for 12 years of excellent work and wish her lots of success with this new challenge wholeheartedly.
