Independent Media Sanoma Magazines Ukraine changes its name

Kiev, 2 December 2008 - From 1 November 2008 onwards, Sanoma Magazines Ukraine is the new name of Independent Media Sanoma Magazines Ukraine.

Sanoma Magazines Ukraine was founded as Independent Media Ukraine (IMU) in 1999 with the launch of the Ukrainian edition of Cosmopolitan. Since then the company has developed a strong portfolio of consumer magazines, becoming one of the leading publishing houses in Ukraine.

When Sanoma Magazines International acquired Independent Media in 2006, IMU was renamed into Independent Media Sanoma Magazines Ukraine. Now the company changes its name to Sanoma Magazines Ukraine. The name change underlines the fact that the company is part of Sanoma Magazines, one of the leading European publishers of consumer magazines and digital media.

Together with its name change, Sanoma Magazines Ukraine launches a brand new corporate website. This website features relevant information about the company’s product portfolio, both for advertisers as well as readers, corporate news, and information for potential employees.
