Hungarian information portal launched

Budapest, August 27 - What rights do we have, and what do we need to be aware of when shopping? Where to turn to for complaints handling? Kirakat.hu (www.kirakat.hu), the new website of Sanoma Budapest’s New Media Department, offers practical shopping tips, legal and other relevant information in order to develop a new and more conscious consumer behaviour. As a leading media company in Hungary, Sanoma Budapest wishes to play an active role in protecting consumer interests and in raising customer awareness. A change in attitudes is perceptible among Hungarian consumers: a growing demand for comprehensive information related to the purchasing process, to quality, or to an efficient handling of legal disputes. For this reason, Sanoma Budapest has launched a new website, Kirakat.hu, to provide information and help to consumers.Shopping is a simple, everyday activity; still, the majority of customers are not aware of their opportunities and rights. It is not widely known, either, what perspectives to consider on minor or major shopping, or what options are available for customers to protect their rights, and where to turn to for legal assistance; information is also scarcely available for customers on how to acquire the most suitable products under the best conditions.A lot of customer uncertainty and questions are answered by the information portal Kirakat.hu, acting as partners to customers. It offers tips and useful ideas on starting shopping, or planning major investments. The site builds an interactive relationship with the users: in its “q&a” column expert responses are given to incoming questions. The website collects all the interest protection organisations capable of providing assistance with enforcing customer rights. Kirakat.hu posts the most recent news and information on key events, fines and new decrees relevant to retail trade. About Sanoma Budapest
